Underworks: planetary expeditions

Survive on a hostile alien planet. Deploy from a human outpost in a sealed pressure suit with an oxygen backpack. A and D or left and right arrows move. Space jumps. W/S or up/down reels or climbs. Point and hold to drill nearby rock; F drills without a mouse. Wheel selects construction; Ctrl + wheel or plus and minus zoom. R attaches or releases a personal rope. The cable bends around tunnel corners. Attach from solid ground before stepping off a ledge. You cannot fire while jumping or falling, or change anchors while attached. A/D swings on the cable. R releases an attached rope; its hook and cable rewind into the backpack. Drilling away its anchor releases it with a warning. W/S or up/down reels the rope or climbs a ladder. Space jumps without releasing the rope; R or Release detaches it. Four new ladder sections cost one copper. Click to place a short run or extend a ladder end; drag to build a longer run. Ladders remain for every crew. M toggles sound. Reconnect is in the console. E uses the object beside its on-screen prompt. Esc opens the suit terminal. T leaves wordless thanks. The operations hub accepts copper and shows other crews; the mission archive records missing crew members. On touch screens, left buttons move, the right button jumps, and dragging above it aims and drills. Other crews appear as faint sealed explorers in nearby light. Unlit passages remain hidden. Q opens an illustrated field kit. Left mouse always drills; right mouse builds with the selected equipment. Pipes carry air from a small recycler; a vent at a pipe end releases it into nearby open space. You cut your own routes. The outpost is the only initial air source. Blue water lines are separate: drag sections through open tunnels and join them to the blue base tank. Pumps cost twelve copper. Put one at the deep clean-water aquifer and add relay pumps where line pressure runs out, marked amber. Base-connected lines power pumps automatically. Filling the shared 120-litre start-up reserve completes the colony water goal. The reserve stays saved when crews leave. Air lasts 90 seconds beyond vent coverage. Copper is collected as you mine, up to 60. Select pipe and drag from the recycler outlet or a connected pipe through open air. The preview shows the copper cost. A vent costs eight copper and needs a free pipe end. Select glyph, choose up to three signs and tap reachable rock. E refills at an air station or recovers copper from a lost beacon. Hiding the tab pauses air use; returning resumes your expedition in place. Emergency extraction is in the suit console. Collect your personal field kit with E at the outpost. Choose a route underground and take a field reading with E, then return it to the outpost. No particular chamber is required. The personal grapple is free and travels with your suit. Use ladders to make permanent climbing routes for other players. Existing ladder sections are free to overlap when extending a route.
